# FAQ ## Is LumiDevKit free? Yes. All the tools are free to use. You need an account, which is free to create. ## Does it change my Bubble app? No. Every tool is read-only with respect to your Bubble app. You upload a file; nothing is written back. The one exception is entirely under your control: the [LumiDevKit extension](/docs/copy-for-bubble) creates data types and option sets in your app, but only when you explicitly click Paste to App. ## Is my data safe? Parsing happens in your browser. Your export is not uploaded to a server to be processed. The single exception is [saving a schema](/docs/save-and-reuse-schemas) to your account, which is opt-in and stores only your `user_types` and `option_sets`. Full detail in [privacy and your data](/docs/privacy-and-your-data). ## Do I need a paid Bubble plan? For four of the six tools, yes — Bubble only enables the full application export on its Starter plan and above. The [Database Visualizer](/docs/database-visualizer) is the exception. It works from a small schema file, which you can [generate with AI](/docs/design-a-database-with-ai) or build by hand without any Bubble app at all. ## Can I use LumiDevKit without a Bubble app? Yes, for the Database Visualizer. Describe your idea to ChatGPT or Claude using [our prompt](/docs/schema-format-for-ai), upload the result, and you have a working diagram. You can then export it as Postgres, Prisma or Drizzle, or paste it into a new Bubble app. ## Where do I get my export? Settings → General → App file management → Export application, in the Bubble editor. Step by step in [get your app export out of Bubble](/docs/export-your-bubble-app). ## Why is one of my data types missing from the diagram? Most likely it is marked deleted. Deleted items are hidden by default; turn on *Show deleted*. ## Why does a box have no name? That data type has no `display` value. Unlike option sets, data types have no fallback, so the box renders blank. See [the schema format](/docs/schema-format-for-ai). ## Why is there a red box saying `[Missing: something]`? A field references a data type or option set that does not exist in the file. The reference is matched against the literal JSON key, and the match is case-sensitive, so `custom.Order` will not find a type keyed `order`. ## How big a file can I upload? 50 MB. If you are over, sanitize it first — see [JSON Sanitizer](/docs/json-sanitizer). ## Which Bubble versions are supported? LumiDevKit reads the standard Bubble application export. It does not depend on a particular Bubble version, but Bubble does change its export format occasionally. If something stops parsing, that is worth reporting. ## Can I import a Postgres schema instead? Yes. See [import a Postgres schema](/docs/import-a-postgres-schema). Postgres only. ## Can I share my export with someone? Not the raw one. It contains your API keys. Run it through the [JSON Sanitizer](/docs/json-sanitizer) first.
